I won’t tell you the fairytale

Where fitting in the glass slippers decide,

Where there is a damsel in distress

And behind her knight she hides.

I will tell the girls to fight their own battles,

Their amazanion figure holding the sword

And she riding the saddle.

In won’t tell the fairytale

Where talking mirrors decide the worth,

Or they need to be a nymph to woo the man.

I will tell them self love is the key,

They are intelligent and resilient

Beauty isn’t everything.

I won’t tell the fairytale

Where they are trauma bonded to the beast,

And when she kneels then he becomes the prince.

I will tell them to fight the hell back,

And be the ruling queen.

I will tell the girls to be red riding hood,

And devour the cunning wolves whole.
